Display Energy Certificate
Required for all public buildings over 1000m2
Since the 1st of October 2008 a Display Energy Certificate (DEC) is required for public buildings over 100m2 enabling everyone to see how energy efficient our public buildings are.
The DEC should be displayed at all times in a prominent place clearly visible to the public. The DEC is accompanied by an Advisory Report (AR) that lists cost effective measures to improve the energy efficiency of the building.
footPRINT understands the objective of the DEC and that public buildings will want to show the improvements that have been made year on year to the public. We therefore realise our role to explain, offer advice and additional information upon completing a certificate to help obtain optimal results.
Numerous businesses have requested a DEC for their premises on a voluntary basis as part of their green policy. Showing how efficiently the building is being run and the year on year improvements, proves to their customers how environmentally conscious they are.
